Lindel and Jeff - Stones of the Yarra Valley
From the moment I met Lindel and Jeff, I knew I would be lucky to have the chance to photograph their wedding. Lindel fell for Jeff's American charm, like I fell for Greg's, and I could see they were relaxed, fun, romantic and so wraped up in each other.
On the wedding day this was just how they were.
Unfortunately Jeff's parents couldn’t make make the wedding, but once Lindel was in her wedding dress, technology lent a helping hand in bringing his parents a little closer and Lindel gave Jeff’s mum a preview of the wedding dress over skype. Such a sweet moment.
Lindel’s something blue was the funniest I have seen yet, a tradition that started at her sisters wedding when the “something blue” was forgotten, and a blue beer label was used in it’s place. So with the Carlton Cold label ready to go, we were off to the ceremony to the little chapel at the stunning Stones of the Yarra Valley.
There are some ceremonies that will always stick with me, and they are usually the ones that are very personal. This was one of those ceremonies. Lots of insight into how they fell in love, and a beautiful moment where they opened up a letter from each other and read it silently. Yes I am a romantic, shocker! Jeff’s parents were watching on through video chat the entire ceremony.
As we walked though the vineyard for the bride and groom photos, no direction was needed, these two fit perfectly into each others arms and I was happy to just snap away. I will just say to Keith, the father of the bride, your t-shirt was amazing! Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome and to Lindel and Jeff for letting me be a part of your beautiful day! Congratulations again!
