I'm Jo, Jo-Jo, or to my childhood teachers Johanna.
I often dream in photographs. Seriously! I think that's because I truely love capturing images. Capturing the true spirit of someones personality, a connection, an environment where you can feel what it is like to be there by just looking at the image brings me so much joy.
My career began in New York where I immersed myself in a darkroom — drawn to the magic of watching an image slowly appear under the soft glow of red light. That’s where my love for photography truly began.
Over the last 17 years, I’ve evolved with the times, from film to digital, always chasing light, emotion, and honest storytelling. During that journey, I’ve had the privilege of documenting so many incredible moments — from families and weddings, to galas, businesses, and beautiful products.
I believe through these different areas my style has evolved to developing a sixth sense of when to click the shutter, where to position myself to get the best possible shot and to know when less is more and when it is not. My goal has always been simple: to create images that feel authentic, timeless, and true to you.

Wedding Photography - While I’ve made a recent shift toward branding and family work, weddings will always hold a special place in my heart. They’ve been a huge part of my career, and I still photograph the occasional celebration — when the time and location align just right.
