Family Photography sessions at home on the Mornington Peninsula

There is something special about in home family photos. It seems that it is more popular choice for newborn sessions to be at home compared to whole family sessions, but there is something incredibly personal and unique about photos taken in your home or on your property.

Firstly, this is where the real essense of your family is. It doesn't have to be perfect or have to be clean. It is about capturing you in your safe place, that has your style, your voice, your memories. Kids will feel at ease, so their true energy can be captured. The images can include things the kids love doing, beloved pets, furniture and special spots in your house or garden that on location shoots usually don't have the same attachments. Don't get me wrong I love incorporating the landscape into photos, it is one of my favourite things to do, but sometimes I think an environment that gets overlooked for photos is actually closer to home. And it can speak volumes in a photograph and evoke memories for years to come. The added beauty of these at home sessions is that the weather can be doing whatever outside, it can be any time of the day and we can still get beautiful photographs.
